Patriots’ Commanding Victory:
On Sunday at the indoor facility, Petit Stade Remera, the Patriots basketball team took a significant step towards the BetPawa Playoffs finals by defeating Kepler 107-68 in Game 2 of their best-of-five semifinal series. This victory puts the Patriots in a strong position to qualify for the finals, needing just one more win from the remaining three games to secure their spot.
The Patriots dominated the game from start to finish, with standout player Will Perry leading the charge with 22 points. They are now just one win away from sweeping Kepler and advancing to the finals.
APR also Overcomes REG in a Close Encounter:
APR also moved closer to the finals by securing a 65-60 victory over REG in Game 2, extending their series lead to 2-0. APR’s Isaiah Miller was the star of the game, scoring 19 points, along with 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
Despite a strong start from REG, who led 31-27 at halftime, APR fought back in the second half to claim the win. Antino Jackson Alvalezes of REG put up a valiant effort with 21 points, but it wasn’t enough to hold off APR’s late surge.
The teams will face off again in Game 3 at BK Arena on Wednesday, September 4, where APR will be looking to complete the sweep, while REG will be fighting to stay in the competition.
