The Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) has released the results for Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) and Ordinary Level (O’Level) for candidates who took national examinations for the academic year 2023-2024.
The event took place on Tuesday, August 27, at the Rwanda Education Board headquarters and was officiated by Minister of Education, Gaspard Twagirayezu, and other Director Generals of Affiliated Agencies.
In this year, 203,098 pupils registered for the national exams, while 202,021 sat for the national exams and 195,955 passed them.
In Ordinary level, 143,227 students had registered, and 143,157 pupils sat. Of them, 134,245 pupils representing 93.8% passed the exams.
In Primary, 96.8% passed the exams, while in Ordinary level 93.8% also passed.
Minister of Education Gaspard Twagirayezu said that out of 201,950 students who sat for Primary Leaving Exams, 99.5% passed Science and Elementary Technology, and Kinyarwanda.
90.7% passed English, while 71.9% passed Mathematics.
99.7% passed Social and Religious Studies.
