Rwanda’s Amavubi is preparing for two key AFCON 2025 qualifiers as they aim to secure a place in the continental tournament, set to be held in Morocco.

Coach Spittler has called up a blend of fresh talent and experienced players to face Benin. Among the new faces is Johan Marvin Kury, a promising winger from Switzerland’s Yverdon FC, who received his first national call-up. Known for his speed, dribbling, and goal-scoring ability, Kury is expected to boost the team’s attacking options.

Also returning to the squad is Anicet Ishimwe, who recently signed with Olympique de Béja in Tunisia. His recall comes after a notable absence, and his experience especially in younger Amavubi teams will be valuable as Rwanda pushes for qualification. Another standout is Salim Abdallah from Musanze FC, a player with a unique background, born in Uganda to a Rwandan father and Arabian mother, but raised in Rwanda.
