China: Rwandan Community celebrates #Kwibohora30

On 19 July, Rwandans living in China, joined by Chinese government officials, diplomatic corps, and friends of Rwanda to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Liberation Day. #Kwibohora30

In his remarks, Ambassador of Rwanda to China James Kimonyo highlighted that what Rwanda has achieved in the last three decades has been a joint effort of Rwanda’s people and their visionary leadership led by His Excellency President Paul Kagame.

Special Envoy for Horn of Africa Affairs of the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Xue Bing, who was the Guest of Honor, commended Rwanda’s transformation in the thirty years since liberation and urged continued support and cooperation between China and Rwanda.

The Kwibohora celebrations featured engaging short videos, music, and dances, allowing others to discover the history of our liberation struggle and providing Rwandans with an opportunity to reflect on our journey that continues.

Every July 4, Rwandans and friends of Rwanda, wherever they are, celebrate Liberation Day, the day when the Liberation Struggle ended, and the beginning of Rwanda’s rebirth.
