Roasters and experts have said the coffee prices increase is inevitable due to inflation that hospitality businesses have suffered.
It is predicted that 1 in 13 hospitality businesses are facing failure over the next 12 months, CreditorWatch said.
Australia is the third country with cheapest coffee prices in the world.
This was reached after Underground Coffee Roasters owner Tim Briggs managed to keep his doors open through COVID-19, increasing transport prices and a global bean shortage.
Even in Sydney where coffee is cheaper in the country, cafes are feeling the pressure of trying to keep prices down as they know if they increase their prices too much customers will go somewhere else due to a lot of competition in the market cafes.
