Paul Pogba’s Doping Ban Reduced to 18 Months: Midfielder Set for Return in 2025

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has had his four-year doping ban reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

This decision comes as a huge victory for the French World Cup winner, allowing him to restart his football career sooner than expected.

Pogba, whose suspension began on September 11, 2023 was facing the possibility of a four-year ban that could have ended his career. However, after a successful appeal, the CAS has shortened the ban, meaning Pogba will be eligible to play again by March 2025.

The 31-year-old can begin training as early as January 2025, which gives him ample time to prepare for his return to the pitch. This ruling has lifted a significant weight off Pogba, who can now focus on getting back into top form and potentially making a strong comeback.

The reduction in Pogba’s ban marks a turning point in what has been a difficult chapter for the midfielder. With his return now in sight, fans and clubs alike will be keen to see what the future holds for the talented player.
