The Ministry of Sports has announced that President Paul Kagame will inaugurate the renovated Amahoro Stadium on Monday, 1st July.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Sports, it was announced that on that day, there is a scheduled match between APR FC and Police FC, who will compete for the cup called the “Amahoro Stadium Inauguration Trophy”.
The match will start at 5:00 PM .
Stadium gates will be open from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Tickets for the game go on sale from today.
On 13th June, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) approved the renovated Amahoro Stadium to host international football competitions.
The renovated Amahoro Stadium was completed after two years of work. Its capacity increased from 25,000 seats to 45,000, meeting all the requirements needed at an international level.
