ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, has announced that Rwanda will host its next annual meeting in October 2025 in Kigali.

The announcement was made during the 2024 ISO general assembly meeting.

Director General of the Rwanda Standards Board, Mr. Raymond Murenzi, expressed gratitude to the global standardization community, saying, “It is indeed an honor and a pleasure to host you next year in the beautiful, safe, green, and clean city of Kigali at the heart of the hospitable Remarkable Rwanda.”

“We look forward to bringing together the ISO community in beautiful Rwanda with our country’s members,” ISO posted on its Twitter.

ISO brings global experts together to agree on the best way of doing things, from making a product to managing a process.

As one of the oldest non-governmental international organizations, ISO has facilitated trade and cooperation between people and companies worldwide since 1946.

The International Standards published by ISO aim to make lives easier, safer, and better.

ISO has over 170 members, one per country, and 840 technical committees and subcommittees to take care of standards development.
