Craig Randall delivered a historic masterclass, setting two new records in the Basketball Africa League while powering RSSB Tigers to a 104–92 victory over Dar City in Pretoria on Saturday. The American guard produced one of the greatest individual performances in BAL history, finishing with 54 points, the highest ever in a single game. In the process, he also broke another record by sinking 11 three-pointers, surpassing the previous mark of 10 held by his own teammate Axel Mpoyo. Randall’s efficiency was equally remarkable. He shot 18-for-36 from the field and 11-for-24 from beyond the arc, accounting for more than half of the Tigers’ total points. From the opening minutes, it was clear something special was unfolding—Randall opened the scoring with a three-pointer, before Mpoyo followed with another to give the Tigers an early 6–2 lead. Already qualified for the playoffs a day earlier, RSSB Tigers played with confidence and attacking intent. Their offensive firepower was on full display, marking the third time in four games they surpassed the 100-point mark. At one stage, they stretched their lead to 17 points, effectively taking control of the contest. Despite Randall’s dominance, he was not alone. Antino Jackson and Makong Mathiang added valuable support, each contributing 15 points to seal the victory. On the other side, Dar City struggled to contain the offensive storm, especially in the absence of key players David Michineau and Michael Foster. Junior Madut and Daniel Utomi led their scoring with 21 points each, while Nisre Zouzoua added 19 and Sisco Ngaiza chipped in with 15. Zouzoua, who was tasked with guarding Randall, acknowledged the brilliance of his opponent after the game: “Hats off to him for his tremendous shooting ability. They made some tough shots—it’s hard to win when you concede 100 or more points. We have to be better defensively.” The result leaves RSSB Tigers with a perfect 4–0 record in the Kalahari Conference, firmly establishing themselves as one of the tournament’s strongest contenders. Meanwhile, Dar City conclude their campaign with a 2–3 record, falling short of playoff ambitions. RSSB Tigers will now face Nairobi City Thunder in their final conference game, aiming to complete a flawless run. With performances like this, Craig Randall is not just winning games—he is redefining greatness in the BAL.
