Australian figure skater Brendan Kerry has been permanently banned by US Center for SafeSport for sexual misconduct on Tuesday.
Kerry, 29, isn’t allowed to attend any events or activities by the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) for his life.
The US Center for SafeSport didn’t comment more on Kerry’s case to protect the integrity of the investigative process.
However, says that respondents in general have 10 days to request arbitration after a decision is made.
Kerry represented Australia at three Winter Olympics.
He was one of Australia’s two flag bearers in the opening ceremony of the 2022 Beijing Games which was his last major international competition.
Kerry was alleged of sex misconduct in 2016-17 season after being registered as coach with US Figure Skating in the same season.
Kerry has retired from Olympic competition and holds no positions relating to The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC).
