One woman has died and other two women taken to hospital after mass drug overdose at Goald Coast Hotel.
Seven women all aged 40s were found struggling to breathe at 11.30pm on Friday.
One woman was more affected, paramedics tried to save her life but she passed away on the scene.
Two other women were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital while other four others were assessed and did not need further treatment.
The drug which caused the suspected mass overdose is still unclear but the earlier reports show show it could be drug cocktail including ketamine, GHB or fantasy.
Investigation is ongoing, Queensland Ambulance Senior Operations Supervisor Mitchell Ware said Queensland Police would perform a toxicology report to determine type of drug that was ingested.
