About Hobe News.
Hobe News is an online news publication rooted in Rwanda and open to the world. We publish news, analysis and features in English and in Kinyarwanda, for readers in Rwanda, across Africa and in the diaspora.

What we cover
Our reporting follows Rwandan public life and society, events across Africa and international affairs that matter to our readers, along with business, sport, health and culture. Stories are organised into these sections:
The complete collection of published stories is in the archive.
Two languages
Hobe News has an English edition and a Kinyarwanda edition. Some stories appear in both languages; others are written for one audience. When a translation exists, the language switch at the top of the page takes you to it.
Our editorial commitments
We aim to report accurately and fairly, to say where information comes from, to keep reporting separate from opinion, and to correct mistakes openly. Our editorial standards describe how we verify information, attribute sources, label opinion and sponsored content, and use technology in the newsroom.
Readers can tell what kind of story they are reading: news reports are unlabelled, while Analysis, Opinion, Press release and Sponsored content carry a visible label above the headline.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and, where the error matters, add a dated correction note to the story. Our corrections policy explains how to report an error.
