As the international break approaches, national teams around the globe are ramping up preparations, and Rwanda’s Amavubi is no exception. With just days left before their crucial fixtures, the Rwandan national team is deep into their training camp, marking day two of their intense preparations under the guidance of head coach Torsten Spittler.
Amavubi is set to compete in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, which will be held in Morocco. Placed in Group D, Rwanda faces stiff competition from Benin, Libya, and Nigeria. The top two teams from this group will secure their place in the prestigious tournament.
Rwanda’s campaign kicks off on September 4th with an away match against Libya, followed by a home fixture against Nigeria on September 10th at Amahoro Stadium. The team is fueled by determination and a strong desire to return to the Competition, as lastly in 2004.
With ample time to fine-tune their strategies, the Amavubi squad is motivated and focused on making the nation proud as they embark on their journey to AFCON 2025.
