Car rising prices limiting their purchase

The new research has shown that the cost of owning a car in Australia has increased by three times more than other prices escalation.

An average of $435 a week are spent by car owners for transport and this makes 17% of the income, Australian Automotive Association has calculated. 

The prices is not only increasing for households but also the logistics companies.

The costs relating to car has increased the amount by three times while the benchmark CPI rose 4.1% last year. 

Fuel costs have tipped over $100 a week and tolls are approaching $70. Also the car loans are the biggest cost, now repayments of $190 are paid per week for average household. 

This is the reason why families are limiting themselves to have one car.
