The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, arrived in Rwanda for a three-day state visit in the evening of yesterday, 5th April. He was welcomed by Foreign Minister Dr. Vincent Biruta at Kigali International Airport.
The main purpose of this trip is to participate in the ceremony commemorating the 30th anniversary of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
The ceremony will take place at BK Arena on Sunday, April 7th, and will be attended by various local and foreign dignitaries.
Other Heads of State who arrived in Rwanda to attend #Kwibuka30 are President of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, and First Lady Mialy Rajoelina, First Lady of Guinea Lauriane Doumboya, Hon. Greg Fergus – Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada, and Minister President Malu Dryer of Rhineland-Palatinate.
