In his capacity as the Commander-in-Chief of the Rwanda Defence Force , President Paul Kagame dismissed from RDF Maj Gen Martin Nzaramba and Col Dr Etienne Uwimana.
They were dismissed along with 19 other senior and junior officers from Rwanda Defence Force (RDF).
The dismissals were announced in a statement issued by RDF dated August 30, 2024.
“His Excellency the President of the Republic of Rwanda and Commander-In-Chief of RDF has dismissed from RDF Maj Gen Martin Nzaramba, Col Dr Etienne Uwimana, and 19 other senior and junior officers from . He has also authorized the dismissal and rescission of contracts of 195 other ranks from RDF,” read the statement.
