A major milk brand of almond milk – Almond Breeze, has exited from Australia and New Zealand.
The reason of exit is that its products were no longer competitive or profitable in the local market, The supplier Blue Diamond Growers said.
Consumers of Almond Breeze products in Australia and New Zealand will find another alternative as they will not be sold anymore.
“Blue Diamond Growers appreciates and values our customer and business relationships in Australia and New Zealand, however (it) has come to a crossroads where the product offerings are no longer competitive or profitable,” a notice from April 1 read.
“While we regret any inconvenience this announcement may cause, we are eager to focus our attention on other territories where Almond Breeze remains the No.1 almond beverage with a dedicated consumer base.”
Woolworths and Coles will continue to sell the products while stocks last but several Almond Breeze products will no longer be restocked on Australian and New Zealand supermarket shelves.
The products affected include; Almond Breeze original 1 litre, Almond Breeze unsweetened 1 litre, Almond Breeze chocolate 1 litre, Almond Breeze vanilla unsweetened 1 litre, Almond Breeze barista blend 1 litre, Almond Breeze home barista blend 1 litre, and Almond Breeze extra creamy 1 litre.
