Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in charge of Regional Cooperation, James KABAREBERE has attended the the Special Sitting of the 5th Assembly of the legislative arm of East African Community, East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) held in Nairobi, Kenya.
The assembly was officiated by President of Kenya, H.E William Ruto.
It took place on March 5, 2024 with aims of discussing crucial regional issues, proposed legislations for harmonization, and strategies to enhance socio-economic development across the East African region.
EALA’s commitment to promoting the principles of good governance, democracy, and regional peace remained at the core of the House discussions during this critical session.
This EALA’s 3rd Meeting, 2nd Session of the 5th Assembly, have run from 3rd of March – 20th of March, 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya.
EALA is an organ of East African Community, established to legislate, do oversight and represent the people of East Africa in a bid to foster economic, social, cultural and political integration.
