NSW: Four people have died after a single-car crash overnight

Three men aged 30s, 40s and 50s and a woman aged 20s in blue Mazda BT50 Ute have found dead in a crash after left the road and rolled.

The accident has taken place this morning in Wardell, south of Ballina in northern New South Wales. It occurred earlier in the night and was only discovered by a passer-by at 5:45am.

Detectives from Richmond Police District are now investigating the cause of the crash and Police believe the four were friends rather than members of the same family. According to ABC News.

The report will be prepared for the coroner as the specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the cause of the crash, the identities of the four dead people and who were driving at the moment.

This sad story comes after the people in Wardell were still recovering from the impact of recent floods.
