President Paul Kagame joined other leaders on Wednesday, September 4, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing for a Welcome Banquet hosted by President Xi Jinping and First Lady Peng Liyuan of the People’s Republic of China.
The banquet is in honor of heads of state and government attending the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit.
President Paul Kagame arrived in Beijing on Tuesday, September 3, to attend the China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit, which started today and runs until September 6.
Themed “Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future,” the forum brings together African and Chinese leaders to evaluate the existing cooperation environment and draw a blueprint for common development and prosperity.
On the sidelines of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), President Paul Kagame had bilateral meetings with President Wavel Ramkalawan of Seychelles and President William Ruto of Kenya.
Both meetings discussed ways to further strengthen the already existing productive bilateral relations.
