Prime Minister Ngirente, Guinea counterpart meet to enhance bilateral ties

Rwanda’s Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente met with his Guinean counterpart Amadou Oury Bah on May 17 to discuss strengthening the existing bilateral relations between Rwanda and Guinea.

Amadouh Bah was in Rwanda for the Africa CEO Forum 2024, which concluded on Friday.

Amadouh Bah highlighted that visiting his Rwandan counterpart allowed them to discuss cooperation between their countries.

“We had the opportunity to deepen the existing bilateral relations,” he expressed.

He expressed his admiration for Rwanda, highlighting the country’s resilience and achievements in economic development and stability, arguing that it is an encouraging lesson for his country.

On May 13, President Kagame visited Conakry, where he was received by President Mamadi Doumbouya.

The two heads of state held a tête-à-tête meeting, discussing ways to strengthen the existing productive bilateral cooperation between Rwanda and Guinea in various sectors, including digitization, trade, and investments.

In April 2023, Rwanda and Guinea signed an agreement to create a joint cooperation committee between countries and other agreements covering areas such as agriculture, ICT, education, mining, and security.
