Rwanda and Georgia signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) on Political Consultations and Diplomatic Training.
Memorandum of Understanding signed by Permanent Secretary in Rwanda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Clementine Mukeka and Ambassador Zurab Aleksidze, Director of the Department of Middle East and Africa in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia on 17th April, 2024.
Georgia and Rwanda signed a protocol on the establishment of diplomatic and consular relations in 2011.
In September 2021, Dr. Vincent Biruta, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Rwanda, met with David Zalkaliani, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in New York at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation.
