Rwanda, Korea discuss infrastructure development partnership

Rwanda’s Minister of Infrastructure, Dr. Jimmy Gasore, received Mr. Park Sang Woo, the Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, along with his delegation for a bilateral meeting on infrastructure development.

Rwanda’s Ministry of Infrastructure on X stated that , the two Ministers agreed to deepen engagement in Urban Mobility promotion, Smart City Planning, Airport City Development, Upgrading of Unplanned settlements, as well as seizing other opportunities in the infrastructure sector that would solicit a solid partnership.

Rwanda and the Republic of Korea established diplomatic relations in 1963.

The two countries closely cooperate in agriculture, education, the development of medical technology, and other areas.

In 2020, South Korea signed an agreement with Rwanda that allows both countries to share airspace, known as the Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA).
