Rwanda, Malta discuss further ways to strengthen bilateral relations

Rwanda and Malta discussed further ways to strengthen the growing bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.

This was discussed during the bilateral meeting between Minister Dr Vincent Biruta and his counterpart Ian Borg, Malta’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Trade, in Valletta.

Rwanda and Malta have existing cooperation. In 2023, Minister Vincent Biruta held a bilateral meeting with his counterpart, Dr. Ian Borg, Malta’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union Affairs, and Trade.

During this meeting, both ministers signed a Bilateral Air Service Agreement, MoU on Diplomatic Training, and MoU on Cooperation in Tourism and Hospitality Management and Training.

In 2020, Rwanda’s Private Sector Federation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry (MCCEI) to promote trade and investment between the two countries.
