South Australia to invest $12 million into AI

Adelaide is set to invest $12 million in the Australian Institute for Machine Learning at Lot Fourteen for Artificial Intelligence (AI) as the technology rapidly expands worldwide.

This comes after government of Australia sets the beacon for SA becoming the AI State.

Premier Peter Malinauskas said If they don’t lead the effort, someone else will.

Numerous researchers and leaders across the world have revealed that soon not later AI will replace human jobs.

Like Tony Clark, who founded the visual effects company Rising Sun Pictures in Adelaide said the business would’ve been less than 200 people, today the total is 330 people.

Strengthening South Australia’s industrial AI capability is key to enhancing efficiency, productivity and automation, and will help South Australia to become a world-leading digital economy.
