On December 16, 2024, the Rwanda National Police and the Ethiopian Federal Police signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen police cooperation in promoting peace, stability, and security. The MoU was signed during an official visit by Rwanda’s Inspector General of Police to Ethiopia. The two countries have also signed agreements to boost trade and investment. In February 2024, during the Third Joint Ministerial Commission meeting, Ethiopia and Rwanda finalized agreements on trade, investment, and political consultation, aiming to streamline regulatory frameworks and create business opportunities.
