Pop superstar Ariana Grande has stepped away from her planned role in the upcoming 13th season of “American Horror Story” after scheduling conflicts with her ongoing Eternal Sunshine tour made it impossible for her to participate. Grande was announced as part of the cast for the new season in October 2025, marking her first appearance in the popular horror anthology series. The role would have reunited her with producer Ryan Murphy, with whom she previously worked on the 2015 comedy-horror series “Scream Queens.” Although fans expected to see Grande join the latest chapter of “American Horror Story,” she was noticeably absent from the recently released teaser for Season 13. Reports confirmed that production schedule changes created a conflict with her international touring commitments, leading the singer to withdraw from the project. Despite Grande’s exit, the new season will still feature several familiar faces from the “American Horror Story” universe, including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd and Jessica Lange. The upcoming season is also set to include filmmaker John Waters, continuing the show’s tradition of bringing together major names from film, television and music. While Ariana Grande’s appearance will no longer happen in Season 13, her connection with Ryan Murphy’s projects remains one of the memorable collaborations between the global music star and the acclaimed producer.
