Israel’s military has reported striking more than 100 targets across the Gaza Strip, as it intensifies its ground and aerial campaign in the territory. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said operations focused heavily on Gaza City’s Shujayea and Zeitoun neighborhoods, where troops reportedly eliminated a cell of Hamas fighters, dismantled military infrastructure, and targeted a weapons facility. In southern Gaza, Israeli forces claimed to have neutralized another militant cell and destroyed combat structures in the al-Jnaina area of Rafah. The strikes, which Israel says targeted explosives and mines concealed within civilian infrastructure, come amid a continuing offensive that shows no sign of slowing. Meanwhile, medical sources told Al Jazeera Arabic that at least 18 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli raids since dawn today, including 11 fatalities reported in Gaza City alone. As casualties mount, Gaza’s overstretched healthcare system is approaching total collapse. Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest medical facility in Gaza City, is now facing a full-scale power outage due to depleted fuel reserves, putting hundreds of critically ill patients at immediate risk.

Dr. Muhammad Abu Salmiya, director of al-Shifa, warned that the hospital is in "critical hours" as power cuts have begun shutting down life-saving equipment in intensive care units, operating theatres, and dialysis wards. "The implications have become painfully clear," he said. "Hundreds of lives now hang in the balance." In the south, Nasser Hospital, the largest medical center in that region, is also on the brink. Medical teams there have confirmed their remaining fuel supply is expected to run out within the next 24 hours. As the assault continues and Gaza’s healthcare system teeters on collapse, the humanitarian situation remains dire.
