494 youth from the diaspora, secondary school graduates, youth leaders, and top performers from recent Urugerero concluded the 14th Itorero Indangamirwa at Nkumba National Ubutore Development Center in Burera District.

The closing ceremony was blessed by the Prime Minister of Rwanda, Dr Edouard Ngirente, and other dignitaries including the Minister of Youth and Arts, Dr Jean Nepo Abdallah Utumatwishima Jean Nepo Abdallah, Dr Jean Damascène Bizimana, Minister of National Unity and Civic Engagement, and others.

During the period of one and a half months, participants received civic and basic military training, fostered patriotism, unity, integrity, and diligence.

They also learned Rwanda's traditional dances and music, strengthening their connection with our cultural heritage.

They participated in military-style training, which included martial arts and parade drills.

They delved deep into learning about our nation's history and understood their role as youth in Rwanda's development from various guest speakers.

Since 2008, over 5000 youth have participated in Itorero Indangamirwa.

This initiative is designed to engage and empower Rwandan youth, aged 18-25, both in Rwanda and overseas, through a transformative training experience focused on personal development, professional growth, and a strong connection to their Rwandan heritage.
