Music That Carries a Message Kwizera Olivier explained why he is often seen singing Nigerian songs, saying many young Nigerian artists produce music with strong messages and lessons for society. He said that when he sings emotional songs or songs that appear to carry sadness, it does not mean his current life is difficult. Instead, the Amavubi goalkeeper explained that such songs are a way of encouraging people facing difficult moments, reminding them that challenges can be overcome and better days will come. His Grandmother’s Role in Returning to Football Kwizera revealed that his grandmother was the person who convinced him to return to football after he had decided to quit. According to him, she told him that if he had a talent, he had a responsibility to give it to his country. The Rwanda national team goalkeeper also described one of his happiest moments as the time when the President of Rwanda spoke about him publicly. He said his grandmother considered that recognition a special achievement and something many people would dream of experiencing. Building His Dream Home in Kanombe Kwizera Olivier revealed that he achieved one of his personal goals by building his own house in Kanombe. The Amavubi goalkeeper said the house was completed in January this year, describing it as one of the achievements that brings him happiness and pride. He also called on people to understand football players when they demand better financial rewards, explaining that a football career does not last forever. According to Kwizera, players need proper support and earnings to help them live a good life even after retiring from professional football. “Love Is Something I Find Difficult” Speaking about his love life, Rwanda national team goalkeeper Kwizera Olivier admitted that relationships are one of the areas where he struggles. He revealed that he currently does not have a girlfriend and has never had one, explaining that he does not want to hurt another person’s partner. He explained that many situations end with him and the person becoming only friends. The Amavubi goalkeeper also shared a story about Karangwa Vanessa, a woman he discovered on social media before seeing her again in Remera in 2019. He said he first sent her a message in 2021, but she did not reply. The Rwanda national team goalkeeper explained that helping others has become part of his lifestyle, saying people often visit his home to share meals with him at lunchtime or in the evening. Kwizera encouraged people to help others without seeking recognition, saying true generosity should come from the heart. The Story Behind the $24,000 Theft The Amavubi goalkeeper also revealed that he once lost around $24,000 after someone stole the money from him. After finding the person responsible, Kwizera said he chose to have a conversation and understand the situation instead of focusing only on punishment. He explained that he refused to take the family house of the person involved because he did not want to punish an innocent parent for the mistake of their child. “I could not take the house of a parent who has children and grandchildren and leave them suffering because of the mistakes of their child,” he said. Kwizera revealed that only seven million Rwandan francs from the stolen money was recovered, adding that he decided not to continue with legal action because he did not see any benefit in destroying another family’s life.
