The Rwanda Premier League has announced that the new football season (2025/26) will start on September 12, 2025, and end on May 24, 2026. This is a change from the original plan, which was to begin on August 15, 2025. The delay happened because teams needed more time to prepare including checking documents, training, and playing friendly matches to test new players. APR FC, one of the top teams, will not play in the first round of the league because they will be in Tanzania playing in the CECAFA Kagame Cup from September 2 to 15, 2025. Before the league starts, there will be a special match
