Britain's Prince Harry waves as he arrives to attend the start of the nine-week trial lawsuit against Associated Newspapers.
Harry is one of seven high-profile claimants, alongside Sir Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley and others, accusing ANL of unlawful information gathering , including alleged phone hacking, private investigators and covert surveillance spanning the 1990s to 2011. The Duke said pursuing the case, which he launched in October 2022, had been “a horrible experience” and “fundamentally wrong” given their request was simply for apology and accountability. ANL denies all wrongdoing and says the articles were lawfully sourced.
