Sydney: Man charged after alleged armed robbery at Pharmacy
A man, 29, has been charged over a robbery at pharmacy in Sydney’s south-west, he was with knife to scare the staff before stealing items from the store.
Reports of an armed robbery includes that the police were called to a pharmacy on Oaks Street at Thirlmere about 12.50pm on Saturday.
Police arrived the scene and told that the man threatened staff members with a knife before taking the items and ran away.
The next day, the vehicle which was used in the alleged robbery was discovered at Onslow Oval in Camden, about 30km away from the pharmacy by Police.
“The vehicle was searched and seized for forensic examination,” Police confirmed in a statement on Monday.
Shortly after the vehicle was found, police received a report about 29-year-old owner of the vehicle that it had been stolen, arrived and arrested the man before taking him to Narellan Police Station.
The man appeared before Picton Local Court on Sunday and he was refused bail. He will front Campbelltown Local Court on April 24.
Police investigated to find that the crime scene was established at the pharmacy but also confirmed that no one was injured during the incident.
