150 football legends to participate in Veteran Clubs World Championship in Kigali

About 150 football legends will participate in the upcoming football tournament, the Veteran Clubs World Championship (VCWC).

The tournament will take place from September 1st to 10th, 2024, in Kigali, Rwanda.

The organizer of the tournament confirmed that former Liberian President and 1995 Ballon d’Or winner, George Weah, will participate in the tournament.

Other Ballon d’Or winners set to participate in the tournament are English player Michael Owen and Brazilian veteran Ronaldinho Gaúcho.

Other famous participants in the tournament will include Jimmy Gatete from Rwanda, Cameroon legend Patrick Mbaoma, Miyamito from Japan, Maicon Douglas, Robert Pires, and David Trezeguet from France.

The VCWC is a global platform and a protected brand that aims to connect, collaborate and contribute to sustainable development for renowned sports veterans.

The event will bring together 150 football legends from all regions of the world for a 10-day Legends Tournament and five economic forums discussing peace, education, health, business, and tourism.
