Australia is preparing royal visit

Australia Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has started the talks about a possible King Charles visit in the country when is well for travel.

Prime Minister Albanese says the country is preparing for a possible visit with leaders of the States and Territories discussing possible options for the planned routes.

Now, there is no confirmation of visit from Buckingham Palace. 

The King is expected in the region for commonwealth heads of government meeting in Samoa in October and may coincide with the one in Australia.

This would be the King’s first visit to Australia as the sovereign but the King has previously made 15 official visits to Australia as the Prince of Wales and he has been to WA six times.

It would also be the first visit by a reigning monarch since 2011 when Queen Elizabeth II hosted CHOGM in Perth.

The King, 75, is now under treatment from February and has stepped back from some of his public duties after diagnosed with cancer.
