Legendary Lineup Unveiled for Veteran Clubs World Championship 2024

The anticipation for the inaugural Veteran Clubs World Championship (VCWC) reached new heights as the organizing committee proudly unveiled the first list of confirmed Legends set to grace the event from September 1st to 10th, 2024. 

The published roster of 30 names comprises both male and female football Legends hailing from various continents, all geared up to participate in a series of exciting activities.

One of the highlights is the Legends Tournament, featuring 8 teams competing in 9 exhilarating games for the coveted Legends’ Cup.

Additionally, the event will host five Economic Forums covering crucial topics such as Peace, Education, Tourism, Business, and Health. Partner Events include initiatives like the Green Action Initiative, The Goals Expo, Youth Expo, CEO gathering, Gender Equality roundtable, and an Amateur Corporate Cup, promising a comprehensive experience beyond the football pitch.

The grand opening will witness a special exhibition game, “ALL STAR GAME 4 THE GOALS,” in partnership with UN Rwanda and the United Nations Department of Global Communication.

This game, aimed at advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, will be captained by none other than the legendary Ronaldinho. 

The objective extends beyond the sports realm, as it also marks the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Rwandan Liberation.

The organizing committee is set to release the next list of 100 Legends in February 2024, with the full list slated for May 2024.
