The Ethics Committee of the Uganda Football Association, FUFA, has suspended referee Juma Osire for six months.
A few days ago, it was in the Ugandan league [StarTimes Uganda Premier League] that the video of the referee disallowing the goal of Kitara FC playing against Vipers SC at St.Mary’s Kitende Stadium of Vipers SC.
It was the 76th game of the season, in the first minute of extra time after 90 minutes of the game had ended.
Kitara FC scored a goal in the last minute, and Juma Osire who was the first whistleblower in that game, hung up the towel saying that there was crying but it was not true.
After watching the footage of the match and the Uganda Referees Commission found that no player of Kitara FC had cried, this referee was given a six month suspension from playing at any level in the country.
This one condemns that what he did, is against the law and the values of professional referees in the country of Uganda.
In a statement issued by FUFA, they said that they are continuing the investigation to identify others who are behind the rejection of this goal.
Referee Juma Osire has been banned from refereeing for six months
