August 16, 2026. Members of FPR-Inkotanyi in Rusizi District have been urged to take a more active role in identifying problems affecting residents and working with relevant structures to find solutions. The message was delivered on Sunday during a general assembly of FPR-Inkotanyi members in the district. The meeting focused on reviewing the organisation’s achievements during the 2025/26 financial year and setting priorities for 2026/27. Members were encouraged not only to celebrate the progress made, but also to openly identify areas where services or development initiatives are falling short and ensure that those concerns reach the appropriate authorities. Siborurema Timothee, chairperson of FPR-Inkotanyi in Rusizi District, highlighted several initiatives implemented during the previous year to improve residents’ welfare. The meeting also served as a platform for members to reflect on their responsibilities at community level, particularly in supporting vulnerable residents and contributing to local development. The call comes with an emphasis on making party structures more responsive to the everyday challenges faced by communities, while strengthening cooperation between citizens, party structures and public institutions. FPR-Inkotanyi has previously emphasised the importance of members contributing directly to national development and addressing issues affecting citizens.
